Butterfly, Day Three

I moved the butterfly onto a potted plant - it’s still alive and isn’t moving much.

Butterfly, Day 2

I was able to (at around 8 AM) capture a video of the butterfly on my window. Sorry that it’s a little dark, but as the day progresses, even more light accumulates behind it, making for an even darker butterfly. As of now, WordPress doesn’t like embedded video, so click HERE for it.

Misplaced

So richly, brightly, dazzling yellow…
…against the background of a snowy afternoon, the butterfly clings to the window. Moving ever so slightly and ever so slowly, its compound eyes seek the great outdoors, the frigid snowbank of its death.
